known her since we both were kids I recall the silly things we did She would want to ride up on my back To keep from stepping on a crack I didn't think of it back then But even when she did not win She was happy just to play Stoney liked to live out everyday Stoney happy all the time Stoney life is summertime The joy you find in living everyday Stoney how I love your simple ways The times when no one understood Seems that Stoney always would We'd walk for hours in the sand She would always try and hold my hand Now I don't recollect the time I fell in love with this old friend of mine Or when I first saw in her eyes What she tried so not to hide

난 그녀를 어릴적 부터 알았었지 우리가 했던 철없던 장난들이 기억 나 그녀는 웅덩이에 빠지지 않으려고 내 등에 올라타고 싶어 했었지 난 그때를 돌이켜 생각해 보지는 않아 하지만 그녀가 놀이에서 이기지 않아도 그녀는 노는걸 마냥 행복해 했어 스토니는 매일 밖에서 지내는걸 좋아했지 스토니는 늘 행복했고 스토니의 인생은 여름날 이었고 그녀가 매일의 삶 속에서 찾는 기쁨이지 스토니 너의 순박한 생활은 얼마나 사랑 스러웠던가 아무도 이해하지 못하던 시절 스토니는 언제까지나 그러할 것처럼 여겨졌지 우리는 모래밭을 몇시간 이고 걸어었고 그녀는 언제나 내손을 잡곤 했었지 이제 난 그 시절을 회상하지는 않아 이 오래된 친구와 사랑에 빠졌거든 내가 그녀를 처음 보았을때 그녀도 굳이 감추려고 하지는 않았지
